Brandheld

Brandheld 2010 is the third of our fully independent, self-funded research projects, following on from our studies of VoD (State of Play, 2008) and PVRs (Pandora: PVR Reality, 2006).

It is one of the largest independent studies of UK mobile phone usage and contains vital insights and recommendations about the reality and future of mobile internet access – looking at both existing users of mobile internet services and understanding the barriers and benefits for potential users.

The research was designed following consultation meetings with twenty three different organisations and, as such, the findings are applicable to a wide variety of organisations, from those whose core business is ‘mobile’ to those who simply want to understand more about the opportunities for reaching consumers via the platform.

The final report was published in March 2010 following an exhaustive six month programme of research, comprising ethnographic video diaries, handset placements, in-store interviews, accompanied shops, discussion groups and a quantitative survey of over 2,000 UK adults weighted to a nationally representative sample (both demographically and attitudinally).

The full written report, quantitative tables and SPSS dataset are now available for purchase. If you wish to find out more, please contact Alex Charlton or Simon Kendrick by emailing info@essentialresearch.co.uk or telephoning 020 7384 1297
