My name is Magda (although many people still call me Madga, Magna, Megan and sometimes even Amanda!!!) and I am a research graduate trainee at Essential.
Straight after graduating from Thames Valley University, where I got a first class degree in Advertising and Public Relations, I went to Poland to do some work experience at the creative department of JWT, Warsaw. When I came back to London, I joined Essential where I am currently completing a Graduate Trainee Scheme, to become a ‘proper’ researcher. I also took an opportunity to complete a MA programme at Thames Valley University, which was offered to me as a Vice Chancellor’s Award. I obviously chose research as my subject. I am currently working on a dissertation, which focuses on exploring how qualitative research is currently being used in advertising creative development (and how some circles hate it!) and how it can inspire creativity. If you have any thoughts about the subject, or have read an interesting article about it, do let me know!
And last two words about me privately: It is not hard to guess that Poland is where I come from. I love our Tatra Mountains and the one thing I miss about Poland the most here in London is a truly freezing, super frosty and white snowy winter! (nope, I can’t ski, tried many times, ended up in a frozen river way outside the skiing slope with skis over my head! Not doing that again!).
